USE OF COOKIES
La Rosa di San Valentino website uses cookies and other tracking technologies to ensure the proper functioning of the procedures and improve the experience of using online applications. This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, on how La Rosa di San Valentino uses them and on how to manage them.
Definitions
Cookies are small bits of information (text and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store on the client (browser) any information for subsequent use during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or on a subsequent visit, even some days later (persistent cookies).
Cookies are memorized according to user preferences from a single browser on the specific device being used (computer, tablet, Smartphone). Similar technologies, such as, for example, web beacons, clear GIFs and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to gather information on user behavior and use of services.
In the following of this document we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies simply by using the term “cookies”.
Types of cookies
According to the characteristics and use of cookies we can distinguish different categories:
Strictly necessary cookies. These cookies are strictly necessary to enable the proper functioning of the website La Rosa di San Valentino and are used to manage the login and access to the reserved functions of the site. The duration of cookies is strictly limited to the work session (they are deleted once the browser is closed).
Analysis and performance cookies. These cookies are used to collect and analyze traffic and use of websites anonymously. These cookies, without identifying the user, allow, for example, to detect a user’s return visits on another occasion. They also allow you to monitor your system and improve its performance and usability. The deactivation of these cookies can be done without any loss of functionality.
Profiling cookies. These are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously or not) user’s preferences and to improve their navigation experience. La Rosa di San Valentino does not use cookies of this type.
Third-party cookies
When visiting a website, cookies can be received both from the site visited (“first-party cookies”) and from sites managed by other organisations (“third-party cookies”).
A notable example is the presence of “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and YouTube. They are parts of the page visited directly generated by these sites and integrated in the host site. The most common use of social plugins is aimed at sharing content on social networks.
The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all third-party websites. The information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relative information notices to which we ask you to refer. To ensure greater transparency and convenience you may find below a link on the privacy policy of the relevant websites, in which the different information and ways to manage cookies are described.

Duration of cookies
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the close of thebrowser or execution of the command logout. Other cookies “survive” at the close of thebrowser and are also available in future visits.
These cookies are called persistent cookies and their lifetime is set by the server when they are created. In some cases a deadline is set, in other cases the duration is unlimited.
La Rosa di San Valentino does not use persistent cookies.
However, browsing the pages of the website La Rosa di San Valentino, you can interact with sites operated by third parties that can create or modify persistent cookies and profiling.
Cookie management
The user can decide whether or not to accept cookies, using his own browser settings.
Attention: the total or partial disabling of technical cookies can compromise the use of the site features reserved for registered users. On the contrary, the usability of public content is also possible disabling cookies completely. Disabling cookies “third party” does not prejudge in any way the navigability.
The setting can be defined specifically for the different sites and web applications.
In addition, the best browsers allow you to define different settings for cookies owners and those of third parties.
For example, in Firefox, through the menu Tools->Options ->Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can define whether to accept or not different types of cookies and proceed to their removal.
